Petrina D’Rozario graduated from Bangalore University in 2002 and soon moved to New Zealand to take up a position as a feature writer for a national newspaper. Her journalism soon took a back seat when she took a 12-month sabbatical and enrolled into film school in New Zealand. Petrina graduated with a distinction and a double major in documentary directing and producing. She has since been involved in co-productions with Greece, New Zealand, Australia and India and is currently based in Mumbai, where her production house, Black Rose Films, produces adfilms.
Petrina spearheads the shaping of Women In Film & Television Association India and is responsible for the development of the chapter’s strategy and network.
Uma da Cunha
Uma da Cunha works in three specific areas related to film: programming, writing and casting. Her film career began in 1974 when she started organizing film events for the Indian government. She then went on to programme and represent festivals in India and abroad. She is the India representative for programming for the Toronto film festival and is the Founder-Advisor of Indian film festivals held in London, Los Angeles, Stuttgart, Florence and Houston. She programmes for the Mumbai International Film Festival and the Kerala Film Festival. Her work as casting director includes films such as Monsoon Wedding, Holy moke, Lagaan and Water, among others.
She is a well known film critic and editor of a quarterly magazine Film India Worldwide, published from Mumbai. . She covers international festivals for Mumbai Mirror (The Times of India daily journal). She has been contributing the India chapter for the International Film Guide (London) for many consecutive years. Uma has contributed research and chapters on Indian cinema for leading publishing houses in Italy, Japan and Korea. Her next objective is to start mini film festivals in the name of Film India Worldwide, starting with Mumbai, her city of residence.
Riddhi Wallia is a dyed-in-the-wool media relations professional, who established the successful PR consultancy Mirabilis Inc. a decade ago.A perpetual student of life, Ridhi believes in making the time to do the things that enrich her soul - learning new things from scuba diving to contemporary dancing; spending time with her girlfriends and family; playing beach volleyball with her all-women’s Mirabilis team and listening to – and singing along with – her favorite music. As both- a professional and an individual, Riddhi believes in the power of simple living, high thinking.
